Genuine tempo with the speedy Claw leading the way. KING PELLES (6) was simply too strong fresh when led throughout for a dominant win. Comes back to the mile bit fitter and goes very well here. Expected to go close again. The class is OKAVANGO (9) who has been racing at the top level. Won the Grade 2 Midmar Trophy fresh then fourth last time out in the Grade 1 The Met at Kenilworth over 2000m. More weight but well back in grade and should be in the finish. MADISON VALLEY (7) returned from a spell four weeks ago when he was beaten 2.5 lengths into sixth over 1500m at this track. Strips fitter and can make amends. IMPOSING (5) scored last start at Greyville All Weather to make it five wins from 10 starts this campaign. This looks a suitable assignment.
