KIND OF BLUE (1) is knocking on the door for her first win, and she was very brave off a wide draw when finishing a game fourth at Pukekohe a fortnight ago. She gets a big swing in her draw for this and is the one to beat. MOONBEAMS (6) ran her best race yet when fighting on gamely to finish runner-up by just over a length here 11 days ago. She has needed time to mature, and she should now go on with it. Can win. FORTUNE COOKIE (10) had plenty of trial experience before running on too late on debut to finish sixth, and not far off the winner. She cops another wide gate, but Opie Bosson sticks with her, and so do we. MARZENIE (4) was runner-up when resuming, and then got to be within a short-head off the winner at Pukekohe 2 weeks ago, when finishing second again. She is set to go one better this time. HIT 'N' RUN (2) probably should have won her last start when being held up at a vital stage. If the gaps come at the right time, she can have the last say. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hit 'N' Run each way.
