Plenty of first starters engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a solid tempo. Happy to side with the newcomers, headed by ARYAAM (1) who has been to the trials twice recently for Anthony and Sam Freedman and won them both. Looks a ready to run type by Snitzel. The stable will be keen to get some cash in the account straight away. HELLENIC BELLE (3) for the Archibald stable makes her debut on the back of a couple of strong trials, the latest a win here on 2 March. Nicely related filly who should be playing a big role. Always respect Peter Snowden's youngsters when they first appear, with REBEL ELEGANCE (5) no exception after her strong trial win over 1050m at Randwick last Thursday. Has all the makings of a handy filly. EKTIFIRE (7) debuted over 1100m at Canterbury 12 days ago and worked home well without dazzling. Should be in the mix again with that race experience on board. Recent Hawkesbury trial winner SATONO GLOW (6) is a half to dual Gr 2 placegetter Kitty Flash. Keep an eye on the betting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Aryaam gets the nod but the betting will tell the tale.
