Strong pace from Mahiole and Ora Veritas matching motors with Gion Princess close at hand. MAHIOLE (9) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Looking to emulate his win at this track when returning from a spell last prep. Rates highly and should take some beating. ORA VERITAS (4) last appeared four weeks ago over 1500m at Nagoya when he finished sixth. This is his first run for the Shigeru Sato stable. Likely to play a major role. REIWA GANTAN (3) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at this track ten weeks ago. Expected to be competitive. SUNADOKEI (7) missed the placings last start when eighth over 1500m at Funabashi. Masayoshi Aoyagi gets the best out of this four-year-old filly. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
