Couldn't follow that up last time out when second over 1700m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Meets some better types this time but a better run will not surprise. GENE CHEN (7) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff she finished 13th over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Bold showing expected. YUINO DISTANCE (10) was comfortably accounted for when tenth last time out over 1700m at this track, beaten 20 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. IL DAMERINO (11) returns after 11 weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a seventh over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. Has ability so don't underestimate.
