The pace looks strong from the outset. BACCHUS (2) had excuses in his fair last effort over 1800m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He is at his best over this distance and can notch up his third-career victory. WECANGOALLNIGHT (1) showed some signs of a form return in his last start over this course and distance. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. He should throw out a big challenge to the top choice. COMMAND PILOT (5) was doing his best work late when fifth over this course and distance last time. He has a good draw of four and must be considered. PRESLEY (7) ran a fair race when fourth over this course and distance last time. He has dropped in the ratings and has to be respected.
