Expecting a strong pace from the outset with plenty of speed engaged. KINGDUNDEE (1) should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung outwards over the final 250m. His penultimate run when winning over this course and distance was impressive. She is having his peak run and with Craig Zackey back in the saddle, he should prove hard to beat. MERCANTOUR (3) ran a good race when fourth of 10 in his stable debut. He drops to 1000m and the blinkers should sharpen him up. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and the combination merit healthy respect. ANUSCKA'S WORLD (5) performed above expectations last time over 1200m at this track, finishing third after starting at long odds. Has to be considered. FIRST ORIGIN (4) progressed nicely last time out to score over 1200m at this track. Likely to be there at the finish again.
