Expecting a strong tempo, predominantly from Makhachev, American Dream and Chere For Me. IGUGULETHU (8) was given a gun ride when winning his last start over this course and distance. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He is in a good space and can follow up with another victory. FINAL TRY (7) is better than his post maiden effort over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course would suggest. He returns from a 35- week break, during which time he changed stables. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if fit, he should be figuring in the finish. EL ROMIACHI (1) is better than his last start run over 1600m on this course would suggest. He jumps from a good draw of four and with Eldin Webber back in the saddle, he should be competitive. CHERE FOR ME (5) stayed on well when third over this course and distance last time. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should give the males a decent run for their money.
