Finished a narrow second to Plaintiff two-back, then sent north with a battling fifth to Ninja over 1300m in the G3 Vo Rogue at Eagle Farm on January 3. Primed with the two trials and ticks a few boxes with the claim. VIRGIL'S GIFT (3) progressive filly who achieved a lot in her first prep. Resumes today with Wadick's 2kg claim and has the speed to get over from the gate. Given the two trials and has genuine top-three prospects. SILENCIO PORFAVOR (5) holding his form and doesn't have to improve much to win this fifth-up. Will prove hard to get past with Grima's 3kg claim from the low draw. PASADENA (6) comes to the Sydney yard after returning with a smart on-pace win over 1100m at Geelong. Has a sticky gate to contend with and can run into the minor money. The chances don't end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shady Road looks to get the right set-up.
