Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Archers Reign.
ROCK ARE STEINER (7) recorded his fourth consecutive minor placing when he made good late ground to get up for second last start over 1415m at Coffs Harbour. Nicely placed out to this trip and with a bit of luck from the wide gate he can pick up a long overdue win. HEART OF PLATINUM (9) is racing well including an eye-catching third over the mile at Taree twelve days ago. Coming back in trip is not ideal but this is a weaker race so he should be highly competitive again. ARCHERS REIGN (2) has raced on the speed but struggled to keep going in longer races of late. Draws the fence and the blinkers go back on today so it will be no surprise if there is a spike in form. MEGHAN (10) raced handy and wasn't beaten far over 1415m at Coffs Harbour recently. In the mix although the wide gate may be problematic. Veteran MALLEE BOY EXPRESS (4) has been hot and cold lately but can win if he brings his A-game. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rock And Steiner to win the last.
