It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger rivals but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand. STORM AHEAD (6) is better than his last start run over 2400m would suggest. His form prior to that outing was consistent. Has to be respected. VOLTE FACE (4) stayed on well when second over 1800m at the Vaal last time. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be running on.
