Certain to be a strong tempo with Genteel, Twilight Bay and Blossoming Mind leading the charge. BLOSSOMING MIND (3) showed some improvement when fourth over 1800m at Durbanville last time. She raced from a handy position that day and stayed on well at the finish. The drop to 1400m is a slight concern, but she is coming along the right way and may be the one to side with. TWILIGHT BAY (2) returns from a spell and is having her first run for Gavin Smith. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in her last outing has come out and won since. If not in need of the run, she should be competitive in this type of field. GENTEEL (1) moved up well over 1600m last time but found one too good on the day. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should be involved in the fight to the finish. DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (6) has been costly to follow in her last three starts. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade steps up to 1400m which may do the trick and the combination of Alan Greeff and Richard Fourie cannot be ignored.
