Moderate pace only with Majestic Glow leading Wombat. The locally trained APADANA (10) produced a real eye-catcher when fresh from a spell for the new stable over 1563m at Mt Gambier last time out, storming home from near the tail to be beaten half a length. Crying out of this sort of journey. The obvious threat. DURHAM (5) has been strong through the line at each of his three runs this prep, the latest when just outside the placings over the mile at Stawell. Should relish the extra distance today. WOMBAT (8) is a dour three-year-old whose last couple of efforts over 2000m have been his best. Sure to be thereabouts again. The lightly raced MAJESTIC GLOW (11) can improve with a step up in trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Apadana to win.
