Dolce Dior to find the front in the small field. POMPATUS (5) progressive Maurice gelding who steps out to this trip for the first time. Returned good closing splits with the 59.5kg to finish a close fourth over 1600m at Gosford. Key jockey change and drops in the weights for this. Genuine top-three contender. DOLCE DIOR (4) deep into the prep and struggled to see the 2400m out when fifth at Kembla Grange. Kept fresh and assess on her good minor placings in town in stronger grade. KAAZI (2) lightly raced gelding set to deliver third-up. Snagged back from the wide gate and never travelled like a winning chance with a poor seventh over 1800m at Randwick Kensington in BM78 class. Gets the claim again and will race closer to the speed today from the inside draw. Value contender. KOOLIBAH (7) demolished her rivals at just her third race start with a slick 4 len victory as fav over 2070m at Doomben. Sent straight to Sydney and not to be underestimated in this tougher company. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pompatus can get the upper hand in a tough contest.
