Genuine tempo with Flaunt leading the way. FLAUNT (11) made an encouraging debut when setting the pace and only weakening late to finish third as the favourite here just over 3 weeks ago. That experience will prove to be invaluable, and she should be the one to beat in this. ELLA KATE (6) is a lightly tried veteran 8YO mare, who caught the eye with a late finishing fifth at Trentham just over 5 weeks ago. A wet track would suit her, and in a field without much depth to it, she can figure in the top 4. SHE'S THE DREAM (13) held her spot from the pole when resuming and gave a good sight before peaking on her run and finishing a weakening fourth for her new stable. She has 260m less to travel this time, and could take them all the way this time. SCARLETT SPELL (10) tried hard from on the pace when finishing second at Hawera just over 5 weeks ago. She can secure a cosy run after drawing the pole, and if the gaps come at the right time, she can have the last say. PIPPASJEWEL (7) failed to fire on debut but won a trial prior. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flaunt can take this out.
