Solid tempo with Monumental possessing enough dash to find the front. FINED FOR SPEEDING (5) over-raced and was never a factor when resuming over 1200m at Scone, although his best work did come late. Should settle better with that run under the belt and with 2kgs less under today's scale is open to sharp improvement. ARTIE'S MAGIC (2) raced on the speed but couldn't accelerate in heavy going at the end of 1412m at Coffs Harbour last time. Far better placed back to this trip on firmer ground. Should be there at the business end. MONUMENTAL (3) started at $2.30 on debut last start at Scone but was under the pump from the outset after beginning slowly. Back in trip but the blinkers go on - a form reversal will not surprise. WHITTELLO SUN (4) impressed first-up over 1000m and this trip is more suitable. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Fined For Speeding.
