Solid tempo likely with Conti Tohoku, Perles Celestes and Vip Akua prominent. FINAL KING (2) turned in a fine effort to score by half a length at this track and distance last start in a nice progression on the first-up run. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. PERLES CELESTES (1) proved too strong last start and scored by 4 lengths over 1400m at this track. Has a decent record at this track with two wins and three minor placings from nine starts. Ryo Kobayashi stays aboard. Expecting a bold showing. VIP AKUA (10) is progressing well this preparation. Opened with a fifth at this track two starts back then got the job done by 1.75 lengths last time out after being in the firing line on the bend over 1400m at this track. Meets some better types this time but another big run is on the cards. GEMPACHI PRIDE (7) did a great job to score by 1.5 lengths over this course and distance when first-up from a spell last start. Facing a tougher assignment but he is capable of another big run.
