FETES DES MERES (11) impressed finishing close-up at Mornington before a break and resumed with a 1.4L defeat at Yarra Valley. Won a Mornington jumpout prior, and she can take this out with the extra fitness. FRENCH SAVOY (12) missed a whisker first-up and then raced a little flat, beaten 2L at Ballarat. She will be better for that, and a sharper effort is likely. RUSSIAN ESCAPE (2) resumes and has jumped out well at Flemington. He's had an issue, but he would be right in it if presented forward. HEAVENFIELD (13) is in a sharp barn and has the first time blinkers applied. Keep onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Fetes Des Meres.
