American Cheval should spear straight to the front of the small field. AMERICAN CHEVAL (4) seems to run his best races when allowed to lead. He was claimed late here a month ago when finishing second by a head, and he won't have to improve by much to take this out. PATRAINE (1) is a locally trained mare who saves her best for her home track. She drops right back in class from her last run here just over 8 weeks ago, and she can get the job done this time. THE HARES EARS (3) was too strong when scoring an upset win here last time out. This is not much harder, and as long as the track is wet, she can repeat the dose. SILVER LINING (5) has not done much since winning here on Boxing Day. Stick with her in this modest field. FAKEITTILLUMAKEIT (6) is the best of the rest after a brave run for fourth here just over 6 weeks ago. SUGGESTED PLAY: American Cheval can win, and Silver Lining is ready to show something again.
