Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a genuine tempo. Race decimated by scratchings leaves us with a 5-horse field. On top is CROWN THE KING (6) who was well supported as the third placed horse first up and stays at a similar trip. Ideally drawn to roll forward and prove hard to gun down. TRIPLE TRIPLE (17) was in the money two starts back at Gosford but couldn't back that up when unplaced over 1000m at Gosford last time. Great chance to atone. TITAN OF FURY (3) is a Brave Smash gelding from Ciqala on debut. Ran third at recent trial. Pay to watch for any major market moves with him as well as YAHUSKIN (5), a gelding by Starspangledbanner from Sequoia Lady on debut. Has had the benefit of three trials.
