Nicely placed to figure in the outcome. MAHINA BRAVO (8) drifted back over 1400m here last time before winding up late to finish sixth, beaten 2.75 lengths. Sure to be tough to hold out. HAKUAI KISEKI (5) closed last prep eight months ago when he finished fourth here Has a decent record at this circuit with a win and two minor placings from four starts. Among the main hopes. PAWA POKE CHAMP (1) produced another moderate effort last start when finishing sixth over 1400m at this track. No surprise to see him in contention.
