Solid tempo with Black Butler leading from Grand Cozy and Little Something. COSMO FREUDE (1) turned in a much better effort last start when beaten only 1.3 lengths into second at this track over 1600m. Sure to go well again. RYAN (3) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by a neck over 1600m at this track. Will be better for that latest run and he looms as a significant threat. LITTLE SOMETHING (5) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing tenth last start over 1600m at Kasamatsu five-and-a-half weeks ago. Should camp just off the leaders. Will give backers a great sight. BLACK BUTLER (2) has switched yards since finishing fifth five weeks ago over 1700m at Sonoda. Solid top-three hope.
