Solid tempo set by Curren Chunky and Takara Liner who are both capable of leading. TAKARA LINER (9) recorded a strong on-pace win here last time by 1.5 lengths over 1600m. Taito Mori has been the pilot at his last eight wins. Racing very well and should go close again. CURREN CHUNKY (3) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished 12th when fresh from a spell two starts back at Urawa then improved and scored over 1500m at Urawa five weeks ago, getting home by a neck after being in contention on the corner. Finds a tougher race but another big run will not surprise. CULLBERG (2) improved last time out, finishing one length from the winner in second at the end of 1600m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Nicely placed to find winning ways. RYOTA SPECIAL (12) settled well back but hit the line hard to win by 4 lengths over this course and distance last start in a far better run. Must raise the bar but another big run will not surprise.
