Has scored first-up from a spell before. Has a high cruising speed. Sure to be in the finish. ACKERMAN (5) is a winner of four from seven and is unbeaten in two starts when resuming. Rates a danger. PRIMUS PALUS (2) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Trying to repeat his debut win over 1000m at Funabashi to kick off last prep. Should be prominent. HASENO BRIAN (9) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished third, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 1200m at Funabashi. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question.
