Moderate pace from Aspen Voltage taking it up with Out Of The Picture and Queen Of The Stars on her back. LADY MELL (5) has been lacking a final punch to her races, but she is probably still on the weak side for a mare who is bred to get out over more ground. She meets the right sort of field here, and she goes on top for us. TAIHORO (1) has shown ability in his short career to date, and did himself no favours when racing too keenly at Riverton last time out. He is better than that, and he can make amends. Each way. ASPEN VOLTAGE (9) battled on late when resuming here a month ago, and the extra 200m will suit her. She may already be looking for more ground, but this field is thin, and she can take this out. TANDIA (6) is a slow-maturing mare resuming from a spell, and she will have the services of Kylie Williams this time, which is a strong lead. Each way. EMPRESS SUIKO (4) has moved to the beach to join the Amber Hoffman stable. She should have won a race by now, and she should no be underestimated in this field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Mell can win, and Empress Suiko can improve quickly.
