Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a keen tempo. The scratching of Pure Passion opens this up. RAISON D'ROSE (5) was turned out after a plain performance on debut back in December at The Heath. Placed in a recent Cranbourne jump-out so might be ready to show a bit more this prep. Worth the gamble at decent odds. JUST KICK (2) debuts for the Browne stable. Both siblings to race were multiple winners. Won a recent jump-out here. Williams to ride is a positive sign. SALUTED (6) is at the races for the first time. Could hardly have done more on the track with a couple of jump-out wins in March. Inside alley is a big help. VENETIAN CHOICE (8) is another first starter with a jump-out win to her name. Looks a ready-to-run type. BAKED (1) is a first starter for Anthony and Sam Freedman worth monitoring in the betting. SUGGESTED PLAY: A small interest in Raison D'Rose with the race experience edge.
