BLACK EMPIRE (7) was sent out favourite last time and scored by a neck over today's trip at this track. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including two wins and two placings. Can go on with it. MAJUTSUSHI KAERU (1) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 800m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. CEPHEID LOOP (10) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 3 lengths at this track over 800m. One of the main contenders. ESPERADO (11) ran a better race last start, finishing 4 lengths away in fifth over 1000m at Funabashi. Nicely placed to find some form.
