Strong pace from Machtig Havanagila, Our Girl Scarlett and Dominator, with Listen Jani and Major Hot on their heels. DOMINATOR (3) has been plying his trade in much harder Sydney metro contests and will appreciate the sharp drop back in company here. Gets the services of gun hoop Thompson in the irons and must be respected out of the Freedman barn. Sure to be right there when the judge calls a halt. EXTREME TASTE (4) resumes here but the form she showed in her first preparation was good enough to be competitive in a race like this. Tuned up for this with a recent trial placing and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. OUR GIRL SCARLETT (8) was a touch disappointing last time out but the two placings prior to start the campaign were full of merit. Worth another chance. LISTEN JANI (6) draws the inside marble and gets the reliable Gollan/Lang combination. In the mix. ARTISTIC ENDEAVOUR (1) next in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Dominator.
