Plenty of pace from Radicals and Ballet Encore, with the added uncertainty of the several unraced runners engaged. ZOUFAME (15) is back from a five-month spell. Raced once last prep and created a great impression, coming from near the tail to be beaten less than a length in the $250k Magic Millions Maiden over this distance on the Gold Coast. Has trialled twice in June for two wins. Bjorn has found the perfect race to kick off this campaign. Capitalist debutant CROSSWAYS (1) is the fly in the ointment. Has won his last three trials, the most recent by seven lengths at Rosehill. Clearly has talent - keep an eye on the betting. RADICALS (12) stalked the pace then tried hard but found one better on debut last start over 1000m at Hawkesbury. Meets a couple of smart ones but should be competitive again. FARFETCHED (10) returns from a four-month spell for a second campaign. Peak rating last prep was when third here at this trip. Trialling in great style and looks to back bigger and better. BALLET ENCORE (9) last race when runner-up on debut over 900m at Newcastle last August. Market the best guide. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Zoufame.
