Strong pace with Chasing Warrior and Digger crossing from wide out.
ORATIA BEAUTY (3) ran on late when resuming at Ellerslie, and then improved to finish runner-up at Te Rapa 11 days ago. She gets through heavy ground and is peaking at the right time. On top for us. SIR FERGUS (5) ran on too late for third when resuming at Tauranga, finishing less than a length from the winner, who led all the way. He steps back up to BM65 grade, but will carry 2kg less. He prefers it wet, and he can have the last say this time. TIMETOPLAYTHEGAME (6) fought so gamely for second by a nose behind a smart sort at Te Aroha nearly 3 weeks ago, and he revels in heavy ground. He has a good gate and can go one better. MISISSIPI GAMBLER (7) delivered the goods as expected, fresh up at Tauranga when clearing her maiden status fresh up there nearly 4 weeks ago. She may want more ground than this, but she can repeat the dose. STAGE THREE (14) was not far away at Ellerslie 7 weeks ago, and if he doesn't need the run, then he can figure in the top 4. GINA ROSA (8) can't be risked. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oratia Beauty can win this.
