Fast tempo likely from Samarkand going forward from out wide, with Stormi joining in. LEGEND WINNER (8) sat up front last time out and was too good over this course and distance, scoring as the race favourite. He draws much softer this time and he's gone to another level since he's come to this track and trip. Looks to get plenty of favours up in grade and he can repeat the dose. FIVEFORTWO (1) missed by 0.8L at this track and trip two back before a 1.3L defeat most recently. He's he'd his for since winning here four starts back and the rise in weight suggests this may be a slightly easier race than what he's been tackling. Can get back to winning ways. ROMANTIC GLADIATOR (5) got the job done over this course and distance last start and pulled up with an issue in the process. Purton remains in the irons and and he profiles as a nice gelding on the way up. Wouldn't surprise to see him repeat the dose. VIOLET STAR (6) is another who rates strongly off a last start win and he is sure to be making his presence felt late.
