Fast tempo assured with Showlas, Magnachine and So Much Serenity going toe-to-toe. SO MUCH SERENITY (10) got the job done last start by 0.3L in a strong effort over 1400m at Bunbury. The wide draw this time is a query, but she should have enough speed to get across from out wide. Brad Parnham sticks and if she can run up to her latest effort, she can repeat the dose. SISU SPIRIT (2) is first-up today with a nice trial under his belt. Formerly with the Waterhouse/Bott stable, he's a consistent performer at NSW midweek company before coming over. He's a first-up winner in the past and if he can pick up in similar form, he'll be hard to hold out. CHOUX SHOE (7) resumes today and was sound last campaign without winning. They now get Pike in the saddle for her return and the tongue tie goes on. Expecting a forward showing. SANDFIRE ROSE (9) will be fitter for the first-up effort and can feature in the finish. WHO SAZ YES (13) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with So Much Serenity in the last.
