Queen Sansa has good gate speed and can overcome the wide alley to lead. GREEK ANTHOLOGY (1) has form in the wet and has not been too far away in his last couple of starts. Dropping back from 1600m to 1500m could make all the difference, and he has a terrific chance to figure in the top 3 here. G'DAY GOLDIE (8) had a genuine excuse when finishing seventh at Te Aroha nearly 3 weeks ago, and her form prior is the guide to use. Hard to beat, especially with the aid of a good gate. GO JOANNA (9) caught the eye when running on late in testing ground at Te Aroha last start, and her only 2 top 3 placings have been on this track. Her first win is not far away. LA REINA (10) just plugged home late at Matamata last start over 1400m, and she will have no fitness concerns fourth up from a spell. Stick with her at some top 4 value in an even field. PACT (16) ran on over 1200m at Ellerslie last start, and with an extra 300m being ideal, she can figure in the top 4 this time, despite copping a wide gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Go Joanna each way.
