A solid tempo is anticipated with Later Boy and What She Wants kicking up to hold out the next wave. SHAMEL EXPRESS (1) lifted strongly late when finishing second by a nose here nearly 4 weeks ago, and he will be at his peak fitness for this similar contest. He has again drawn nicely, and is set to go one better. ROYAL SOVEREIGNS (7) has mixed her form, but her last start sixth was a very game effort at Riccarton nearly 2 weeks ago in what was probably a tougher field than this. Stick with her on an each-way basis. BEAVER FEVER (9) has recently changed stables, and she has no trouble with heavy tracks. The wide gate will make it tough, but any market confidence will be worth following up. WHAT SHE WANTS (13) has been heading the right way with her form, and having Kylie Williams in the saddle for the first time is a strong lead. She is peaking at the right time, and her next win is not far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Royal Sovereigns each way.
