Damascus Gate has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. HEATHCLIFF (5) got off the mark in fine style last time at Muswellbrook when well supported. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with Bullock and is a big chance of making it two on the trot. DAMASCUS GATE (1) has good early toe and is ticking along nicely, beaten narrowly in his last two. Is drawn to advantage on the inside and gets an important 3kg claim. Expect him to give a great sight. GOLD SMILES (10) turned things around last start when scoring well at Moree. Backs up quickly and can keep the ball rolling. HONEY SLIDER (8) continues to leave himself with too much to do but if the pace is genuine watch for him bursting through. SUGGESTED PLAY: Heathcliff to win again.
