Irish Jig, Pickaxe and Mean Girls to match motors but there will be other pressure. IRISH JIG (1) was far from disgraced last start at Wyong when finishing a close sixth, only being claimed late in the piece. Has enough toe to cross early from the wide alley and give another bold sight. Will steal it if left alone through the middle. GELSEY (9) resumed over 1000m at Quirindi and was only beaten a long neck into fourth. Fitter this time and is a second-up winner. Is right up to this. IMPERIAL STATE (5) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at Tamworth two starts back then got the job done by a long neck as favourite last time out over 1400m at Tamworth. Drops back slightly in trip off a month between and gets in light with the 3kg claimer engaged. One of the main threats. DEMARCATE (3) wasn't far away last time despite finishing out of the placings and boasts peaks that measure up, though he will require a smart steer and a bit of luck from out there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Irish Jig to lead all the way.
