MAKAMAE (8) backs up just five days after an excellent second over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast where he settled just off the leading division then closed nicely. Is a winner at this trip and looks the one to beat on the quick turnaround. KERKORIAN (3) scored two back over 2240m at the Sunshine Coast then struggled against metro Saturday opposition at Doomben last time. Ready to make amends back in this more suitable assignment. POWER PACK (4) dropped back sharply in trip and did a reasonable job to finish a distant third over 1640m at Toowoomba recently. Far more at home over today's journey so expect him to be highly competitive. LAUNCHER (6) is new to this trip. A bit one-paced when just outside the placings over 2060m at Doomben last start. This might be what he needs. BIG TICKET BOY (2) romped to victory in a Class 4 over 1800m at the Sunny Coast last time. Hard to beat if he recaptures that form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Makamae.
