Strong pace from Archie Maximus, Gaming and Not So Dubious, with Vetoed and Master Of Rewards on their heels. WARRIOR BAE (3) caught the eye when fresh from a spell last start over 1200m at Ipswich, making up a stack of late ground to finish fourth in heavy going. Nicely placed over an extra 100m with that run under the belt. Draws a nice gate so this sets up favourably. RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (11) broke his maiden last time out at the 27th attempt, getting up by the barest margin over 1567m at Murwillumbah. Freshened up since that breakthrough success seven weeks ago. Up in grade but with a light weight out of gate one he must be considered. ARCHIE MAXIMUS (1) was racing well until a last-start failure over 1509m at Port Macquarie when coming off a six-week break. Fitter and can bounce back. The lightly raced SUNVOLT (2) scrambled home to win his maiden over 1205m at Coffs Harbour five weeks ago. Progressive type who can win again without surprising. VETOED (8) was safely held first-up at Coffs Harbour. Placed five of seven at this trip so a better run is on the cards. SUGGESTED PLAY: Warrior Bae to win the last.
