Plenty of speed engaged with Zavega, Dreamwriter and Southampton Nicco going forward ahead of Siglo De Oro and Picupstixx. DREAMWRITER (3) has been hard to fault since arriving in the Billy Healey stable. Comfortably took out a Class 1 over this distance at Toowoomba two back then just went under in a three-way go in a similar race to this at the Sunshine Coast last start. Very well in after the claim and she is clearly the testing material. ZAVEGA (5) stalked the pace then drove hard late but found one better over this distance at Moree last time out. Cherry ripe after three runs back from a spell. Lightly raced filly who is open to further improvement. SIGLO DE ORO (4) appreciated a return to the turf when beaten a whisker over 1100m at Gatton recently. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and on an eight-day back-up looks a serious contender. PICUPSTIXX (8) was never a factor last start over this trip at Ipswich when second-up from a spell, adding to his other poor performances at that stage of the prep. Fitter and can do better. SOUTHAMPTON NICCO (6) is one for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Dreamwriter.
