Strong tempo assured from Pacific Reel and Legin leading the charge. PACIFIC REEL (3) led for the judge and looked a chance but found one better in consecutive starts over this trip in May. Went up to 1635m at Grafton on Saturday and struggled. Can bounce back over this more suitable journey. HALLOWEEN HOLLY (6) ran on stoutly to grab second in heavy going two back over 1206m at Port Macquarie. Less effective last start when ridden on pace at Coffs Harbour. Today's race looks a nice fit - big chance if they take a sit. MOONSPELL (8) had every chance but didn't finish off as hoped over this distance at Grafton recently. On pacer who should run a cheeky race. LEGIN (1) kept finding to finish fourth over the mile at Grafton last Saturday. Open to further improvement at just the third run of the campaign. LAGAVULIN (7) has shown little in her three runs to date. Top four contender on her return to 1400m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pacific Reel looks hard to beat in an ordinary affair.
