Plenty of runners but a dawdling affair is on the cards. RAINY NIGHT (4) resumes. He's been thereabouts in three runs to date, well backed when fourth before a spell at Pakenham over 1400m. Expect improvement this time around for top connections in what looks a winnable affair. GRAN PARADISO (2) resumes having placed before the break at Warrnambool, beaten a neck over 1700m. May find this on the sharp side but should get to the best ground and be rattling home. FROZEN PRINCESS (8) ran much better than her $31 price would've suggested on debut at Pakenham, able to get into third over 1100m. Better for that and warrants respect. LADY OF BRONTE (11) has shown glimpses in three runs to date and has claims. CIRCUS LIGHTS (6) can run well on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rainy Night to win.
