Solid tempo with Into The Circle possessing enough dash to find the front. INTO THE CIRCLE (5) sat close to the pace at Whanganui last week and just battled to see out the 1340m. She will be right at home with a return to 1200m, and with the aid of a kilo claim, she goes on top for us. ENSIGN ARIA (8) was handy to the pace before fading out in the run home to finish well back over 1400m at Woodville more than 5 weeks ago. She is better off over this shorter trip, and she can bounce straight back into the top 4 here. Each way value. EXPLOSIVE FORCE (1) has won a trial since finishing fourth on debut at Avondale just over 8 weeks ago. Stick with him for all combos. JOHNNY BE GOOD (2) will be peaking third up, and he has his best chance of figuring in the top 3 for the first time in this thin field. SAPPHIRE (11) is on debut and she has fewer convictions than a some of her battling rivals. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ensign Aria each way.
