Moderate tempo with Tears Of Victory leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. WINTER BLAZE (5) made up some good late ground at Ashburton last time out nearly 8 weeks ago, and the drop from 1400m to 1200m won't harm her. She slips down into BM60 grade, and her weight rise is offset by a 2kg claim. If ready, she will be right in the finish. THATS CHARMING (4) saves his best for the poly track here, and he will drop right down in class from his last start third in BM75 company. He has to shoulder an extra 6kg, but he is still good enough to take this out. KING PALM (3) has been disappointing in 2 starts back from a spell for the powerful Joe Waldron stable, and he will be peaking third up. He has won on this surface in the past, and a form reversal is on the cards. PATSY SPIRIT (7) has been very disappointing, but he gets a big swing in his draw this time, and in an easy class off a freshen up, he can't be taken lightly. Each way value. TEARS OF VICTORY (6) has battled in her last 2 starts over 1600m, and she is worth another chance with the drop back to 1200m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Patsy Spirit each way value.
