Genuine tempo with Sakai Wampaku O to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. BUON VIAGGIO (8) has been hard to fault, scoring two in a row before hitting the frame at the last two including a third most recently over 1400m at Kanazawa. Steps up a level but she is good enough to figure in the finish. SAKAI WAMPAKU O (5) finished eighth, beaten 12 lengths, last time out over this course and distance after coming from an outside draw. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Expected to be in the finish. BEHIND HEAD (10) improved last start to finish third over 1400m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. TOBEANS (1) finished 4 lengths away in fourth at her last appearance over 1600m at this track on May 21. Worth plenty of thought.
