HAFEN (15) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a neck away in third over 1200m at this track after being prominent from the outset. Likely improver with strong prospects. MAGO ICHITA (12) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1200m at Hakodate, beaten only 1.5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. SEGANTINI (16) finished second last time over 1200m at Kokura, beaten one length. Placed to advantage so expect a big run.
