Cracking tempo with Luskin Hero and Expert Witness leading the way. LUSKIN HERO (1) will progress to open grade here after winning his last 3 starts on the bounce, including a soft win by over 2 lengths here nearly 4 weeks ago. He will carry half a kilo less this time, and he has the right draw to win again. FLYING START (3) is a consistent gelding when fit and will be having his first run this year. It is hard to get a line on him, and the market moves will be your best guide. KICKATORP (2) is heading the right way with his form and was a game runner-up behind the top pick last time out. The blinkers are off, and he can finish closer this time. LA VESUVIUS (5) had the blinkers on last start and proved to be too good, scoring as an odds-on favourite by half a length. He has the pole position and, more importantly, has 5.5kg less to carry this time. Go again. EXPERT WITNESS (4) ran out of condition fresh up here behind the top pick after setting the pace, finishing at the rear of a 5-horse field. He strips fitter, and he will be harder to peg back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Luskin Hero is well placed to win again.
