Solid tempo likely from Shinano Smile and Lino Destino. PRIMO PYTHON (2) finished third over 1000m at Funabashi at his most recent appearance on July 25 2023. The time off is the big niggle, though his form out of his last campaign makes for good viewing. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note despite the break. SHINANO SMILE (12) went forward over 800m at Urawa last time and held on for second. Has the pace to overcome the draw. Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with four wins from five runs and is expected to feature. KANNON MIKAZUKI (5) finished tenth last start, beaten 6 lengths, over 1200m at Ohi. Has found the frame in all four starts at this journey, including four wins. Takuto Iketani who has four wins when partnering stays on. One of the contenders. DERE RAPTOR (6) resumed over 900m at this track last start where he drifted back early and didn’t threaten, finishing sixth. Generally goes well with that run under the belt. Can do better than last.
