Expecting Chambord and Major Quality to press forward and set the tempo. CHAMBORD (3) was on the speed from the rails draw when resuming last start and battled on well to finish second over 2000m at Urawa. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. VAGARY LOTUS (2) was out of the placings in far tougher company two back then appreciated the easier grade and scored last time at this track, leading throughout. Nicely placed again and is a definite winning hope. MAJOR QUALITY (7) ran seventh at his latest appearance over 2200m at Funabashi. One of the better chances with this shaping as an easier assignment. DIRT RAISING (4) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when sixth at Urawa over 2000m. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
