Closed last prep with a second, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 1600m at Nakayama. Ideally placed to score. MARUKA OPERA (1) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 17 starts. Was again denied last start when she found a couple better over 1600m at Hanshin. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. KUMO HITOTSU NAI (3) has not appeared since he finished second over 2000m at Nakayama on April 12. Looks a strong top-three prospect. PREMIER SHIP (11) was safely held when seventh last time out over 2000m at Fukushima, beaten 6 lengths, after a win at Chukyo at the previous outing. Should be thereabouts.
