Genuine pace headed by Clos De La Barre from his wide draw. CLOS DE LA BARRE (12) resumes. Wasn't far away at last run before a break, finishing fourth over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt ten weeks ago. Expect him to play a major role. RIAD (11) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 4 lengths into fourth after being in contention on the turn. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. NATURAL RIVER (5) was a determined winner last time at Fukushima Dirt, scoring by a neck over this distance. Nice weight drop so he is one of the main contenders. ZAPATEAR (2) turned in an eye-catching run over 1800m at Niigata Dirt last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Expected to feature again.
